Residents in several neighborhoods will see immediate changes to local traffic flow. Notable safety measures include a new 20 mph speed limit on N. Clarendon Ave. (from W. Irving Park Rd. to W. Montrose Ave.) and the installation of multiple all-way and multi-way stop signs at various intersections, including S. Constance Ave. and E. 68th St.

Commercial vehicle regulations were also tightened. The committee approved new "No Truck Parking" zones on S. Eggleston Ave. and restricted semi-truck parking along segments of W. Talcott Ave. and N. Newcastle Ave. Additionally, rush hour parking restrictions on S. Kedzie Ave. (from W. Jackson Blvd. to W. Franklin Blvd.) were rescinded.

The committee also recommended the approval of over 100 individual handicapped parking permits and several residential permit parking amendments, including updates for zones on W. 101st Pl., W. Rice St., and W. Ardmore Ave. These measures now head to the full City Council for final approval.
